Hello Safarifriends,

Been awhile since I have posted. Hope everyone is doing well!

Just got the bad news that the rotors are cracked on both sides of the coach. Tried a couple of places including Hendersons in Grants Pass, OR which I would have to drive there. Too far and too far a wait (June). Striking out in a few places. Is there a NAPA part for these rotors and the pads?

Chuck,

Here is a link to a post that shows a comprehensive list of Safari brake parts, that fellow Safari member Bill E. did years ago on the FMCA forum and here too, but it was easier to find it on FMCA. He use to have a '00 Zanzibar. He is the same guy who knew where the refrigerator fuse was. ;) You have no idea how long it took him to finally figure it out and find it. Lol.

Hi John,

Thanks for the link. Are the part numbers for a particular manufacturer or are they SMC?

Yeah, finding that fuse was “golden”. That made my WEEK!

From reading the post, it looks like it's probably Safari part numbers. If you read his whole post, he mentions some brands and part numbers that were cross referenced. If you are interested, there is a fellow Safari owner that has brand new Cryo rotors that he wants to sell, because his coach got totaled when a tree fell on it, and he never got around to installing those rotors. You would need to take measurements of your rotors to make sure they are the exact fit. I don't know where you are located, but if you are anywhere near Seattle, he is just over the border in Canada. If you are interested, PM me and I will send you his contact info.

I ended up getting the Centric non-cryo rotors from RockAuto.com and they were far and away the cheapest in price and shipping. In fact, the nearest cryo version price were 3 times as much. Someone had replaced the pads before I bought the coach in August 2020 as they were still 50% life left but I picked some up on eBay to stash on the shelf as I found them for $49 + $25 shipping for 4 new sets. I only need 2 sets for the front so I guess I have another 2 sets I will likely never use. The rears use a different pad and those rotors look good.
